Crystal Report CRAXDRT error - logon failed ERROR MESSAGE BOX: Crystal Report Viewer CRAXDRT Error Occured on Server. -2147189176 : Logon failed. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 18456] * Crystal Reports being run via ASP code & IIS * Very intermittent error, cant find pattern - appears sometimes & not others. * With some testing, found after a while or after running several diff crystal reports it seems to come good again OR when restart IIS (eg: Start -> Services -> 'IIS Admin Service' - restart). * hourly auto updates are being done by IT on the server, not sure what changes/updates took place just before the problem started, but customer does recall Crystal Reports was upgraded, think from version 9 to 11, so can dump into Excel. However this may have been some time ago. Any ideas please? * tried remapping datasource in all reports * noticed many temp tables in code, some were changed to table variables Relevant Software on Server: * CR 8.5 (not in Start Menu though) * CR 9 Developer * CR 11 Developer * Win Server 2003 SP2 Last edited by shell_l_d; 08-04-10 at 01:27. It is a COM+ configuration issue. We solved it using these steps: 1 - craxdrt error occured Find the COM+ package where the components 'CREmfgen.CREmfgen.1' and 'CrystalRuntime.Application.8' are installed; Check that the package is configured as 'Library'. Remove both components from the package. 2 - Create a new package, configured as 'Server'; 3 - Uncheck 'enforce access checks for this application'. 4 - Add the components 'CREmfgen.CREmfgen.1' and 'CrystalRuntime.Application.8' to the package you've just created. The paths are (usually): C:\Program Files\Seagate Software\Shared\Emfgen.dll C:\Program Files\Seagate Software\Report Designer Component\craxdrt.dll Hope this helps. share|improve this answer answered Feb 8 '13 at 18:14 Marcos Brigante 625619 Yes this answer did worked for me too.. –L.W.C. Nirosh Oct 29 '13 at 6:00 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote Yes "Marcos Brigante" answer did worked for me too.. However when I look at my machine I did not see any library component already configured as said in step 1. The machine configuration was exactly simlar to this and the error was identical too. So since there is no other way to go I went ahead starting form step 2. Once you did all these, the report stop generating. The report panel start showing with all the buttons but report was blank. Then when I try to export the blank report it worked and didn't give the error we had before.. So seeing some light.. I did few more stuff.. In my setup I deleted all in node "Roles", and also "Legacy Compnenets" and so I made both nodes empty under prope

Alistair Sat, 10 Jan 2004 22:37:30 GMT Tyler D#2 / 4 CRAXDRT Error Occured on Server can you export succssfully in report designer on webserver? errors here will be reflected over web. compare calling report over URL and exporting: http://server/path/report.rpt exporting will occur server side, but if you are exporting programmatically, check the export sample on http://server/scrsamples/active server pages and see if error is duplicated. try exporting from other viewers (java, html), active x viewer will export to excel 5, i think (cannot specify what excel format compared what you can select in the designer.) i hope that helps.
