I'm new to the forum & I'm trying to unlock this god forsaken T-Mobile V3r to use with AT&T. I've been using instructions I've found in this forum & poetic_folly's Moto Guide. The Flash tutorials on The Moto Guide website don't seem to be working, so I've been winging it with my common sense & info found in this forum. The common sense part could be where I'm failing. Where I'm at: I've tried backing up my phone using FlashBackup 2.62, it goes through all the motions, but it never backs up anything. I'm thinking it has something to do with when I am setting up to back-up. I click on "add another" loader, I add the one specified in the Moto Guide & open it, but it never shows up in the drop window as the picture shows on the guide, it just keeps showing "add another". Ok, so I skip that & figure to hell with it, if I end up with a brick, so be it, I'll just keep using this p.o.s. LG Envy. Now, I'm connected to the phone & using RSD Lite v4.5.3. When I try to downgrade my sw version to 7.D0 so that I can run the Unlocker I get, as it says on the phone's screen, a "Critical Error 80 40" & the flash fails. The phone is still the way it was before the attempted flash. Below are pics showing the phone info before the flash & after the flash. Before flash: After flash: Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks in advance. Did I post this in the wrong forum? I just noticed a sub-forum for modding questions... Sorry if I did. Last edited by Nicknasty3964; 10-11-2009 at 06:38 PM. I can get my WinXP to see the phone as Motorola USB Device-Motorola Flash Interface and RSD Lite 3.3 can see it but Flex Editor V10.4 doesn't see it. Am using 2Pk Driver 2.9. Have tried to flash with RSD with same SW and with a monster pack, but get Critical Error 10 39 on phone in both cases during bootloader phase. Tried to replace boot loader w/07D0 and get Critical Error 12 01 Did something else and got Critical Error 84 What can I try next? Are the error codes listed anywhere?
