Each time we try it says "error connection to game. returning you to the main menu". However, another friend of mine joined without an issue. Any thoughts on a dead rising 2 multiplayer fix fix?User Info: TenobokTenobok 6 years ago#2I'm having the exact same problem. My flatmate and me both have XBox live but we cannot connect to each other - joining any other DR2 game on xbox live works just fine.I went through all the settings of our router but I can't see anything wrong. All the other games work (L4D 1+2, RE5, RDR) so I think it's save to assume that this is a bug.It would be great if Capcom would fix it. :/User Info: ExodisExodis 6 years ago#3Every so often my cousin and I run into this issue. We just reboot our 360s.Stone Rose RoughnecksXBL/PSN: KahshimUser Info: chaosDMZ2chaosDMZ2 6 years ago#4This has to do with your NAT settings, I'm sure. If set to Moderate or Strict, there's a chance you can't connect with certain friends. I've had the same problem. You could enable uPnP and see if that fixes it, else you have allow Xbox Live to access your connection completely (which is what uPnP should do). Here's a list of the ports that Xbox Live uses; TCP 80 UDP 8

Otherwise, a message should show up in the corner of the screen when you make the request, he has to accept it. Oi, So my brother and I bought Dead Rising 2 yesterday to have some fun and slaughter zombies together but the ♥♥♥♥ dont work. When I try to join his lan server (he gets the same if i host) I get: "An error occurred while connecting to the other player. Returning to the Main Menu." None of us has installed any mods/packs or some ♥♥♥♥ like that. Clean installs. Any idea what might be the problem? Thanks a bunch. the_fetus View Public Profile Search User Find More Posts by the_fetus Find Threads by the_fetus 12-25-2010, 01:41 PM #2 the_fetus Join Date: Jan 2007 Reputation: 0 Posts: 20 Same with TIR. the_fetus View Public Profile Search User Find More Posts by the_fetus Find Threads by the_fetus 01-02-2011, 11:02 PM #3 Jab_Bauer Join Date: Feb 2010 Reputation: 0 Posts: 19 It's apparently an issue if you are on the same network. Dead rising doesn't work for two clients on the same network. Though, I'm having the same problem joining my friend who lives in another city. I have no trouble joining a coop game by selecting Live and having it matchmake join me with a random individual, but selecting Friends and joining their game gives me the same error. Really frustrating. Me and my roommate play co-op all the time. I know these might seem really stupid, but I have to ask; Is your firewall on? Have you allowed permissions from Windows 7/Vista for Dead Rising 2, MS LIVE ID, and GfWL to access the internet (control panel -> firewall -> allow program through firewall)? Have you done the same for any third-party firewalls? Also, you may need to do some port forwarding Re-install GFWL and forward these ports. * TCP port 80. * UDP and TCP port 3074. * UDP port 88 * UDP and TCP po
