First Solution is go into > Control Panel > Sound > Manage Sound Card Settings > Right Click your Default Speaker and go to Properties, go to 24bit 48000hz. Still Not working? Try Running GFWL Marketplace, if it asks for you to install a log in update do it. If you run into an error while install that says it could not complete do this. Start Menu > Run > %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\REGSVR32.EXE %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\WUAUENG.DLL Should work after that. What if you've tried changing the default speaker to one that does have that bitrate and it still doesn't work? Uninstall GFWL and GFWL re-distribute2. Uninstall Dead Rising 23. Uninstall Windows Live Essentials program (all of them)4. Uninstall windows C++ items too (all of them)5. Delete XLIVE folder relating to GFWL (C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLIVE)6. Delete GFWL folder from (C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games for Windows - LIVE)7. Run registry cleaner (I use CCleaner)8. Restart9. Install Dead Rising 2 from steam10. While installing, install windows sign-in live ID program (http://www.microsoft.com/en-ie/download/details.aspx?id=15106)11. Install GFWL (http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/LIVE/PC/DownloadClient)12. Check them out! Since people were so interested in the previous Dead Rising 2 Game Post I decided to put out another one. This is how you can solve the various game crashes. If your game crashes to the desktop when you launch it, or if you receive a black screen, or even if the game won't start: 1. Navigate to your control panel. 2. Open "Hardware and Sound" and then choose Sound. 3. On the playback tab, select your "speakers" and then click "properties". 4. In properties, click the "Advanced" tab. 5. For "Default Format" choose "24 bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)" Note: Those of you who are getting lag can try "16 bit 144100 HZ" but this may not always work. 6. Press okay. 7. Run the game. You may want to reboot first though. Cant save game, or game controllers don't work? If you are running the pirated edition of this game (Shame on you!) then you will be unpleased to hear that the crack breaks saving, multilayer, and the game controller. Certain pirated versions do allow saving and the Sponsored: game controller to work however.
