When opening the file/Adding a new form? What did you do different since the application worked without any error? Have you tried Compact & Repair? Did you try Compiling the Code for any un handled exception/compiler error? __________________ Regards, Paul Eugin To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. the wizard for my report but I receive an application-defined or object-defined error. I have deteremined the problem but I do not know how to fix it. When I was creating the tables I had inserted the wrong name and the column is no longer there but it still comes up in the table information when I created the query but does not show in the table. The name of the column that is 'hidden' is DemAmpAJan but the one I can see/want is called DemAmpsAJan. Any suggestions on how to completely delete his 'hidden' column would be Sponsored Links: Read full post... Report an issue Thank you for taking the time to report an issue. Specifically, this particular user can open any database, but when they try to use the Report Wizard, at the end of the wizard they are getting the generic error message, "Application-defined or object-defined error". This is no error number or any further details, but this error happens consistently, regardless of the contents of the report or which database/tables are involved. Some info that may be pertinent: Most of the database files are stored on a defined or object network share. This particular user can use Access on other computers without getting the error. It appears that, at one point, Access 2010 was installed alongside Access 2007. We have tried repairing the Access 2007 installation but it has not helped. The computer in question last ran Windows updates approximately 6 months ago, at which point Office 2007 Service Pack 3 was installed, along with several other Office 2007-related updates. This may coincide with when the user first started experiencing these problems, but I can't be sure. My initial guess is that there is something wonky with the Access 2007 installation, but I don't know exactly what.
