Whenever I try to manually update it gives error 0x80070057 copy file me an error where it says "Windows update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running." I tried to troubleshoot Windows update and it came error 0x80070057 format with a few errors unfixed. you run the Windows Update troubleshooter? http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Update-troubleshooter If it doesn't help, do the following steps. Click Start and type regedit and press the Enter button. Navigate to HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate Delete all values with this 0x80070057.
