Advertisement dexw Thread Starter Joined: Aug 15, 2009 12031 error code Messages: 5 Trying to launch internet explorer and get error "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". When I diagnose the problem it the status code returned from the server was 12031 says windows cannot connect to the internet using HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP. When I look at the diagnostic error log, it says "Error, could not make an HTTP connection". I do have a valid connection. I have http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-networking/error-code-12031/8f895b27-d8f6-4397-bd48-9a01ecdb0c19 turned off my fire wall and still have problem.
