1309: "Error reading from file" (during installation) Nov 02 2014Support Share Add To Issue: When you install, the following error message is displayed: Error 1309. Error reading from file. Causes: You may have incorrect user permissions set on the installation target folder. Solution: One possible solution is to make sure you have full permission to the destination folder where your program is being installed. Locate the folder on your installation drive. Right-click the folder and click Properties. On the Security tab make sure your user name is added to the list, or the Users group is present and that Full Control is selected. Click OK and install. When I was back in Autocad 7 I had no standard pulldown menu's (only FILE VIEW HELP) or tool bars anymore. I error 1309 error restored my custom toolbars but could not restore standard menu bar. So, I decided to uninstall. On the reinstall, Disc 1 went fine, now I am in Disc 2 and have this Error Message - ERROR 1309 Error reading from file:E:\Bin\AcadFEUI\ProgramFiles\Root\sharemfcRes.dll. Verify that the file exists and that you can asscess it. And of course my choices are abort, retry, cancel. Choices did not help and so I canceled and started over and got to the same place with Error 1309. Any suggestions? ID: TS45252 - Remove all Autodesk software products from system to ensure clean installation If running Anti-Virus software, temporarily disable it while reinstalling.
