Error reading from file. Causes: You may have incorrect user permissions set on the installation target folder. Solution: One possible solution is to error 1309 verify the file exists make sure you have full permission to the destination folder where your program is being installed. Locate the folder on your installation drive. Right-click the folder and click Properties. On the Security tab make sure your user name is added to the list, or the Users group is present and that Full Control is selected. Click OK and install. Another possible solution for Error 1309 would be to make sure that the path to the source and destination file is not breaking Windows Installer limit 256 character. For example if you are running the product installer from your Desktop, please move it in a folder on C:\ (e.g. C:\adsk). As soon as I ran it I got a 1309 installation error. It took me about 15 minutes to find the FIX. I hope this asists others. It worked immediately I applied the FIX without rebooting using the SAME DVD and the SAME Dvd drive. Just a another Windows BUG that has never been fixed.For those with the COD 4 installation error 1309 PLEASE NOTE.Y

Seems there are quite a few people with the same problem on the COD forums. Working on a work around right now, hopefully it works.
