Error reading from file. Causes: You may have incorrect user permissions set on the installation target folder. Solution: One possible solution https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Error-1309-Error-reading-from-file-during-installation.html is to make sure you have full permission to the destination folder where your program is being installed. Locate the folder on your installation drive. Right-click the folder and click Properties. On the Security tab make sure your user name is added to the list, or the Users group is present and that Full Control is selected. Click OK and install. Another possible solution for Error 1309 would be to make sure that the path to the source and destination file is not breaking Windows Installer limit 256 character. For example if you are running the product installer from your Desktop, please move it in a folder on C:\ (e.g. C:\adsk). I used Office 2000 with the Run-Time program on my old PC that had Windows ME and everything worked fine. There's something on the Knowledge Base about a virus but I have checked and I don't have it. Any help much appreciated. Thanks, David Wheeler com David Reply With Quote 01-03, 01:31 AM #2 Re: Error 1309 - Access run time file not found I believe you need either Access2K installed, not part of Office2K - unless you have Pro/Premium? version or the Access 2K runtime distributed with Access2K developer I'm not sure if the runtime is available via MS site/downloads. Its possible if the App you are running was installed from a CD then the runtime file may be contained in it, as to the best of my recollection it is a freely distributable file. David "David Wheeler"
