If that same error happens, leave the error window there and go see if the file exists - maybe a false positive got it quarantined by your anti-virus software. If you still cannot sort this, try going back to version 6 of Java (which does not install FX). It was installed before I started using it so I figured I would uninstall it and install it properly. When I try to uninstall it in Windows I get the following error message: Error 1316: A http://stackoverflow.com/questions/21468553/uninstalling-installing-jdk network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\Installer\jdk1.7.0_51.msi This file doesn't exist on this machine, I think it was somehow deleted. Does anyone know how to get around this problem. java windows uninstall share|improve this question edited Jan 30 '14 at 22:54 Stephan 20.8k2599164 asked Jan 30 '14 at 22:15 Sting 7119 See if you can reinstall over the top of the existing installation, then uninstall. –Harry Johnston Jan 30 '14 at 22:28 This seems to be already answered here:superuser.com/questions/503983/… –Guy Bouallet Jan 30 '14 at 22:31 I tried both of these, first I tried to over install and the installer just told me it is already installed. I deleted the entries in the registry and I still get the same message. Would you like to reinstall it? I press yes. Preparing to remove... Then after that it says... Please wait while Windows configures Java SE Development Kit 7 update 45 After that I the specified account get an error: Error 1316.A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\Windows\Installer\jdk1.7.0_45.msi But the C:\Windows\Installer directory doesn’t exist! :( I've narrowed it down to me deleting the files for the JDK (C:\Program Files\Java\jdk) and apparently those files have a file that the Java installer needs to uninstall it. Please tell me how to thoroughly delete all the files for the JDK so I can install it again! Or another way! java windows share|improve this question edited Jun 4 '14 at 16:23 Scott 11.5k112650 asked Dec 5 '13 at 16:04 PatThaCoder migrated from stackoverflow.com Dec 5 '13 at 17:52 This question came from our site for professional and enthusiast programmers. This isn't a programming issue, I'm afraid. :( –Chris Cooney Dec 5 '13 at 16:05 One way would be to install it on a different machine in the same path, copy over the files and then uninstall again. –Devolus Dec 5 '13 at 16:07 Remove the JDK from your system path. –Daniel R Hicks Dec 5 '13 at 16:23 I don't have the JDK in my path ): –PatThaCoder Dec 5 '13 at 16:37 Then there's probably something hiding in your registry. –Daniel R Hicks Dec

During the installation routine, I get the error message: "Error 1316. The specified account already exists." My only option is to click an OK button. When I click that button, I receive a follow up error message: "Installation failed. The installation will be rolled back in the background." I have tried uninstall LF 9.0, rebooting the machine, and reinstalling LF Client 9.2 and get the same error every time. I have tried installing just the client, the client with Admin Console, the CLient with Snapshot, Scanning and every other possible combination - all of these produce the same error. Any suggestions on how I might resolve this? Thanks! 0 0 Post Link Replies Sort by: Most popular Most popular Oldest to newest Newest to oldest replied on January 17, 2015 This error generally indicates that something related to installation states in general is in flux. I'd suggest try running the Microsoft installation cleanup utility:http://support.microsoft.com/mats/program_install_and_uninstall/enand see if that helps. If not, you'll want to talk to your reseller about opening a support case. 3 0 Post Link replied on January 18, 2015 Hi Justin. Thanks for your input. I ended up uninstalling LF manually (deleting application files, Common Files, AppData files, etc and removing all related registry keys). I then rebooted the machine and tried the LF 9.2 install routine again. That took care of the issue. LF 9.2 is now up and running with all of the components (scanning, Admin Console, Snapshot, PhotoDocs, etc.). We're good to go. Thanks again for the response. 0 0 Post Link Be the first to start a discussion, ask a question, or create a checklist .
