CDs in it at the moment and it will not eject them. If I try to play them, I get an "ERROR 3" message. It will not load CDs either. The radio works fine and these are real CDs, not burned ones. http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/132-9th-gen-corolla-1st-gen-matrix-2003-2008/382921-error-3-cd-changer.html I took it to my dealership and they looked at it for 30 seconds and said "Uhh...you need a new stereo, go buy an aftermarket one." I'm positive that the discs are just jammed as I heard a noise when they were loaded that indicated that they were not properly in place. I then visited a repair/retail electronics store and they said that they don't like to look at factory stereos and they would be happy to sell me a new one. How can http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26121 I get my CDs out? I just want them to eject. I had this problem in the past about a year ago, but it was short lived as I drove over a pothole and the bump was enough to dislodge the CD. The stereo has worked fine since. Any suggestions? Shouldn't be too difficult. There are plenty of tuts on how to remove the radio from the car. Takin apart your radio should be relatively easy. __________________ In a world... where things squeak, wont fit, start to bleed, or are just plain hard to do.... Not only won't eject or load but now stays stuck in AUX selection. What gives? Submitted: 3 years ago. Category:Toyota Share error 3 this conversation Expert: AMD replied3 years ago. Hello and thank you for trusting us with your Toyota question, My name is AMD and I will be assisting you today.I'm sorry that you are having trouble with your cd changer, Error 3 means that there's a mechanical problem with the cd loading system. Now what you have tried is the only method to repair however I would suggest you disconnect the battery's negative battery terminal overnight and connect it back in the morning, see cd player error if this causes the cd changer to eject all discs. If it doesn't then the problem is not a glitch and it's an actual problem and the only remedy to this problem is to replace the unit since it's an internal failure. If you know a really good radio repair shop then they can fix it, your other option would be to contact your local toyota dealership and they will take your old unit and give you a remanufactured unit at a much lower cost than a brand new unit, If you have CDs inside the unit that you hand in, they will be returned to you once the unit goes to the remanufacturing facility, they will mail the cds to the dealership and the dealership will contact you.If you have extended warranty on your vehicle it should cover the radio replacement. If you don't then another cheaper solution would be to purchase an after market audio system and adapt it to the vehicle.
