compact. ALWAYS BACKUP the database before you do anything with it. 1. Shutdown the Aldelo for Restaurants on all stations. 2. Navigate to your database (default location = C:\documents and settings\all users \application data\aldelo\aldelo for restaurants\databases\live). 3. Right click on your database and select "COPY". 4. Right click on a blank spot in the same window and select "PASTE". This will place a new file in the window named "Copy of yourrestaurantname.mdb". 5. Right click on your database and rename by placing a number in front of the name (ie -1yourrestaurantname.mdb). 6. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Aldelo\Aldelo for Restaurants\JetComp.exe (in newer versions C:\Program Files\Aldelo\Aldelo for Restaurants\Aldelo for Restaurants POS\JetComp.exe). 7. Click the three dots after the Source field (Top box). 8. Find your renamed database and double click on it (Not the copy). 9. Now click the three dots after the Destination field (Bottom box). 10. Choose the same database with the name change (Double click on it). 11. Now put your curser in the Destination field (Bottom box). 12. Remove the number from your database name that you added earlier. (Destination Field only). 13. Mark the 3x database format and click "COMPACT". If you get an error message click "OK" and mark the 4x database format and click "COMPACT". 14. Wait for the blue line to go away and it to say READY in the lower left hand corner. 15. Exit the Jet comp program and launch the Aldelo for Restaurants. Note - if you recieve an error message on both the 3x and 4x formats your database may be beyond repair. You can try to repeat the steps above or revert to your most recent backup. Aldelo Error 3251, Aldelo error 3251, Aldelo Error 3251. Basically I am looking to filter the variable "YearsInJob" by allowing user to enter a http://www.vitabyte.com/restaurant-pos-usa-2/aldelo-restaurant-pos/aldelo-tech-support/aldelo-error-3251-fixed/ value less than or equal to whatever value is entered into the textbox. Code: If Not IsNull(Me.txtyearsinjob) Then strWhere = strWhere & "([YearsInJob] <= " & Me.txtyearsinjob & ") AND " End If When try to run the filter criteria I receive the following error message "Run Time Error 3709: The Search Key was not found in any Record" richard05 View Public Profile Find More Posts by richard05 02-09-2012, 09:13 AM #2 http://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=221679 richard05 Newly Registered User Join Date: Mar 2009 Posts: 10 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts Re: Run Time Error 3709: The Search Key was not found in any Record SOLVED: Changed the data type of the field, which sorted the issue. richard05 View Public Profile Find More Posts by richard05 02-09-2012, 09:16 AM #3 boblarson Former Moderator Join Date: Jan 2001 Location: Oregon, USA Posts: 32,482 Thanks: 94 Thanked 1,780 Times in 1,565 Posts Re: Run Time Error 3709: The Search Key was not found in any Record I'm guessing it was text and you changed it to a number? If so, the reason why it didn't work before is with text fields you need to encapsulate your value in quotes like this: strWhere = strWhere & "([YearsInJob] <= " & Chr(34) & Me.txtyearsinjob & Chr(34) & ") AND " or like strWhere = strWhere & "([YearsInJob] <= '" & Me.txtyearsinjob & "') AND " or like strWhere = strWhere & "([YearsInJob] <= " & """ & Me.txtyearsinjob & """ & ") AND " __________________ Free tools, code and samples here: To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. It is either closed or invalid in this context. My scenario is that I'm using a script similar to the one below on a form, and then this slightly altered version below for another form if the logic permits it. The original script on the aldelo error 3709 1st form works, but when it runs from this form I get the error noted above. I've been reading a lot about this error but I haven't been able to solve it yet. Any ideas? This code is supposed to take any records that have the Boolean EmailSent not checked and send emails to those. Emails are created/sent through the exporthtml routine near the end of this routine. Code: Public Function parse_WorkflowNew() Dim rs As ADODB.Recordset, str_getSend As String Dim rs_Missing As ADODB.Recordset Set rs = New ADODB.Recordset Set rs_Missing = New ADODB.Recordset rs_Missing.Open "Select Mfg_Cd from q_AuthToRoute Where [E-Mail] is null Group by Mfg_Cd", CurrentProject.Connection, adOpenForwardOnly, adLockReadOnly rs.Open "Select [E-Mail] from q_AuthToRoute Where [E-Mail] is not null Group by [E-Mail]", CurrentProject.Connection, adOpenForwardOnly, adLockReadOnly If Not rs.EOF And Not rs.BOF Then If EmailSent = False Then rs.MoveFirst Do Dim rs_Data As ADODB.Recordset Set rs_Data = New ADODB.Recordset --------rs_Data.Open "Select * From q_AuthToRoute Where [E-Mail] = '" & rs.Fields("E-Mail") & "' And EmailSent = No, CurrentProject.Connection, adOpenForwardOnly, adLockReadOnly" If Not rs_Data.BOF And Not rs_Data.EOF Then rs_Data.MoveFirst Dim str_Table As String End If exporthtml rs.Fields("E-Mail"), rs_Data rs.MoveNext Loop Until rs.EOF End If End If End Function Debugging highlights the line with -------- Reply With Quote 07-05-12,17:20 #2 Sinndho V
