Solved ACCESS Run-time error '3709': The search key was not found in any record Posted on 2006-02-23 MS Access 2 Verified Solutions 7 Comments 13,088 Views Last Modified: 2011-08-18 I am having a hassle with an ACCESS app that a colleague developed to extract data from a Foxbase error 3709 database. The hassle that I am having is that all of a sudden after literally years of working just fine it has decided that a particular table is a problem. The source database has not changed at all because I would definitely know about that – I would implement any updates – and thus I have to think that ACCESS has suddenly developed a problem. The error message that I receive when I try to extract data from the linked error 3709 the table to my table is Run-time error '3709': The search key was not found in any record I have checked documents http://support.microsoft.com/kb/301474/en-us and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/239114/ which specifically talk about this type of issue and find that there is no issue with the ACCESS platform at this time that I am running. I run ACCESS 2003 SP2 with Jet 4.0 database engine version 4.0.8618.0 Windows XP SP2 and Security Bulletin MS04-014 I will try to run on a machine that does not have MSO SP2 on it over the weekend and see if I still have the problem. It is strange because an old data set works - current does not? I need to resolve this issue urgently and would really appreciate your assistance. 0 Question by:Itsolv Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 39 Best Solution bythenelson Since you are thinking the problem lies with the Access DB, you can try: Steps (approximately in order) to use to fix a corrupted Access database. 1) CREATE A BACKUP OF THE CORRUPT DATABASE. I recently began getting run-time error 3709 when running some VBA within Access 2010. It ran perfectly fine last week. The problem just began yesterday after the weekend. The section of code that the debugger is highlighting is: DoCmd.RunMacro "ImportData" When I check the Macro, it is setup and mapped correctly. Additionally, if I manually run the Macro it executes perfectly. I have tried rebuilding the Macro, confirmed all file paths are correct, compiled, compacted and repaired, and even pulled up a previous copy from a month ago. Nothing has changed it. Some places online state that the code is often caused because the dB is corrupted. If that was the case, then the old copy should have worked. I've tried repairing access, running anti-virus scans, and even using CCleaner to clean up the registry. Has anyone run into this before, or know what is causing it and how to fix? Thank you in advance. vba macros runtime-error share|improve this question asked Feb 2 at 19:05 Lucas Sitterly 4511 Additional note. I am currently attempting to repair Microsoft Office and will update with the results. –Lucas Sitterly Feb 2 at 19:09 And no change after the repair... –Lucas Sitterly Feb 2 at 19:35 Take a closer look at the RunSavedImportExport piece (as indicated in the first image), there must be something happening there. The error message indicates it's trying to do something to a table/recordset that's empty. –Johnny Bones Feb 2 at 20:06 @JohnnyBones, yes, it is running a saved import that overwrites the old Import table with the new data. I have checked the source data, and the mapping and it all looks in order. The source data is not empty, and the mapping is pointing t
