I cannot find any detailed logs or anything. However, when going to PHP Manager for IIS and click check config, I get the following error: Detailed Error Information: Module FastCgiModule Notification ExecuteRequestHandler Handler PHP55_via_FastCGI Error Code 0xc0000135 Requested URL http://domain.com:80/brkld3ip.php Physical Path drive:\sites\domain.com\brkld3ip.php Logon Method Anonymous Logon User Anonymous iis 7 error 500 I installed PHP using Microsoft Web Platform Installer 5.0 on a fresh install of Windows Server. I am new to IIS coming from Linux. So I am not "learned" enough in IIS to know what's going on. I have tried updating C++ redistributable 2012 update 4 as a couple websites suggest. Anybody have any other ideas? EDIT: Another thing I checked was memory limit. One site suggested my memory limit needed to be upped. No change. If you're running PHP 5.5.x you need to ensure the VC++11 runtime is installed: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 Make sure you download and install the x86 version (vcredist_x86.exe), PHP on Windows isn't 64 bit yet. If you're running PHP 5.4.x then you need to install the VC++9 runt

installing fastcgi tech preview for php i get the following error: FastCGI Handler Extension Error 0x80070005 occurred processing request. Access is denied. Ive checked folder permissions and they seem fine: System account has full control on c:\php\ http://serverfault.com/questions/613927/500-error-on-fresh-install-of-iis-and-php And iusr has read write permissions on the wwwroot folder. It must be something easy to fix no? thanx Reply blain57 7 Posts Re: 500 Server Error with PHP Apr 16, 2007 07:40 AM|blain57|LINK btw im on a VPS server Reply rickjames 191 Posts Microsoft Re: 500 Server Error with PHP Apr 16, 2007 11:58 AM|rickjames|LINK Hi blain57, Check that your php.ini fastcgi.impersonate setting is what you want. Please could you post a http://forums.iis.net/t/1099307.aspx?500+Server+Error+with+PHP procmon, from www.sysinternals.com,log. Cheerz, Rick. Reply blain57 7 Posts Re: 500 Server Error with PHP Apr 16, 2007 12:19 PM|blain57|LINK Unfortunately i tried running procmon and it doesnt. Unable to load driver. I think it has something to do with me being in a vps system. On the php.ini i found the fastcgi.impersonate setting and set it to 1 (it was commented), but still it displays the same error. The php.ini resides in the C:\PHP\ directory, and im guessing that, after i installed the fastcgi tech preview, thats the directory the system checks to find the php.ini, correct? Reply rickjames 191 Posts Microsoft Re: 500 Server Error with PHP Apr 16, 2007 12:28 PM|rickjames|LINK Hi blain57, Now we're going to have to do this the hard way.. :-). What version of Windows/IIS are you running? What version of PHP are you running? If IIS >= 6, have you changed the AppPool identity? My first guess is that IIS cannot access php-cgi.exe. If you right-click on php-cgi.exe - properties - security - advanced - ... - effective permissions - insert AppPool identity. Does the AppPool identity have Read and Execute access? Cheerz, Rick. The website is running on PHP5.2.1 and I can only upload files (so no registry tweaks). I had tested the website before and everything seemed to be working, but now the checkout page fails with: 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. As error messages go, this isn't very informative. I've tried: ini_set('display_errors', 1); ini_set('error_log', $file_php_can_write_to ); but php 500 error both don't seem to do anything. Anyone know how to get better debugging output? php iis iis-7 share|improve this question edited Dec 24 '12 at 22:07 Charles 40.1k1069107 asked Nov 8 '09 at 15:29 Matthijs P 6921615 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 24 down vote accepted Edit : Looks like we have a similar question in serverfault. Check it out Turning off IIS7 custom errors will allow error responses from your application to be sent to remote clients without being censored by the IIS7’s custom errors module. You can do this from the IIS7 Admin tool by running “Start>Run>inetmgr.exe”, selecting your website/application/virtual directory in the left-hand tree view, clicking on the “Error Pages” icon, clicking “Edit Feature Settings” action, and then selecting “Detailed Errors” Source share|improve this answer edited Nov 8 '09 at 16:16 answered Nov 8 '09 at 15:34 Shoban 20.3k74998 Actually I'm using Firefox. –Matthijs P Nov 8 '09 at 15:40 This does change things but now I'm getting a plain text: "The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred." –Matthijs P Nov 8 '09 at 16:05 2 +1 I'm just using classic asp, and ran into this... same answer works for me. –Lynn Crumbling Aug 9 '12 at 20:50 1 Make sure when using PHP that yo
