Unanswered question This question has not been answered internal server error 500 in websphere application server yet. Hi, I am working on an appliction which is deployed on WAS7.0. The weblogic error 500 request flow is as below. Client (Internet) --> External WebServers -->Internal WebServers (after crossing the DMZ Zone) --> Application servers when the tomcat error 500 client is trying to access the webservice provided by the application from internet, they are getting 500 Error. Even I can see the 500 Internal Server Error in the webserver logs. But the application server is up

and running. Even I checked the plugin logs by enabling trace, but I don't see any timeout errors. When I tried to access the application from the local box by using the internal webservers, I am able to get response. how can I trouble shoot this issue. can some one help me please. thanks chandra. We have a dedicated external webserver that routes the requests from external to internal network. internet --> external loadbalancer routes to external webserver through a firewall port --> then goes to internal virtual which routes the request to web servers --> finall to application server. so this is how we configured our env for external apps. If the latter then check the logs for StaleConnectionExceptions. Once thrown this will refresh the datasource however the first request fails, usually in the morning on our systems.
