Please type your message and try again. der_lockere Level 1 (0 points) Q: itunes match download err -5000 I have subscribed to iTunes match yesterday from my MBP 15" itunes download error 500 and uploaded all my music to the cloud. Afterwards I have added iTunes itunes download problems match to my rMBP 13" and everything went more or less smooth except of ca. 30 titles which were uploaded itunes error 5000 mac or matched (as indicated by the 'iCloud status' column) and they have the iCloud download icon aside. However, when I want to download the item to my rMB 13" I get the following

And if I go into the download overview it shows the err = -5000 code which I can not identify in the iTunes match FAQ. I already tried to repair permissions and restart iTunes but actually it didn't change anything regarding the error. Streaming of the title is erreur 5000 itunes possible and working, but I need the files locally!!!! as I do not always have connectivity. But this is my work computer, and we remap our home directories to a network drive, and to be specific, to a Novell Netware NSS volume. When I looked there other apps had entries, but these particular apps didn't, and that's when I had a hunch. I tried creating files and folders using those application names. You just can't do it! You can use those characters in Windows, but not on a Novell volume, even with long filename support etc. So there you have it, if you are getting that error, and you're using iTunes at work, have a think about where your downloads are being saved, where your My Documents folder actually resides, and if it's a network drive it may just be that it's not accepting these non standard characters.
