installed Remote Access role in Windows Server 2012 I want to connect to it with PPTP from pptp vpn error 628 a Windows 7 outside of network and after verifying my username and password it says error 628 This is my configuration : Server Side: * Only one interface * Role error 812 vpn server 2008 Installed * NPS --> Network Policies -> First policy set to grant access * Set to use a IP range from 192.168.x.x to 192.168.x.x --> the same as my lan ip * user administrator grant access from dial-in tab --> No Active Directory * My ADSL Moder router --> port forwarding for 1723 Client Side : use optional encryption

Firstly, I recommend you make sure no related ports is blocking by a firewall. I also recommend you set the data encryption in Advanced Security settings of VPN connection's Properties to "no" or "optional" other than default "require". If the issue persists, please reinstall the modem and your network drivers.
