is AVCHD 720p but doesn't work with .mts or .mp4 files-I am trying to render speed and simple cross dissolves. Neither are working-This has happened before on a friend's desktop. I was using his machine to edit on while I was in the process of building mine. He got the same error when I was trying to export. I restarted and the issue was fine. Restarting on my machine has not solved the issue. This leads me to think it is a bug in the program?-I have been running After Effects and it has worked flawlessly. Help!? << PREVIOUS • FAQ • VIEW ALL • PRINT • NEXT >> • "Error Compiling Movie. Unknown Error" by JP Pelc on Jul 31, 2014 at 9:06:11 pm I am facing a serious problem here. I have submitted a https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/3/956661 bug report to Adobe but I would love to get some input from the http://nathanwmorris.com/solving-the-unknown-error-compiling-movie-in-premiere-pro-cs6cc/ community. No matter what I do, I cannot get Premiere to render in any sort of way. If I hit render in the timeline I get the popup "Error Compiling Movie. Unknown Error." When I export I get the same error, regardless of export settings, regardless of direct export or through Media Encoder, regardless of sequence settings, error compiling and regardless of GPU acceleration settings. I have also tried cleaning the media cache database, changing RAM allocation settings, and of course restarting the machine. This is happening to both myself and my coworker, on different projects and different machines. This is happened with varying frequency since installing CC 2014. Obviously this is a crippling problem as nothing can be exported whatsoever. Every now and then it works for a few error compiling movie minutes, which is when we manage to pump out our necessary exports. Then it fails again. HELP!! Unknown Error"by walter biscardi on Jul 31, 2014 at 9:07:43 pmThat happened to us in the past when we tried to render a larger than 2GB file to the shared storage drives. It's been fixed since CC came out though. But try rendering the file to an internal drive and see if it works. Walter Biscardi, Jr. Editor, Colorist, Director, Writer, Consultant, Author, Chef. I tried exporting to desktop as well as shortening the file name (as I seem to have had a few issues in the past exporting with long file names). No luck.Return to posts indexReport Po
"unknown error" when compiling a project. You know, this ugly thing: The best way I've found to locate the offending clip when you're dealing with a particularly complex project is to attempt to export it as an AVI file. Once you've done that, it will either resolve the problem (and you can encode the exported uncompressed AVI as needed in handbrake or something else), or, it will quit prematurely without an error. However, the length of the AVI file will give you a very good idea of where the offending clip is. So for example, I had a complex project that was about 6 minutes 34 seconds in length. I was having a hard time finding the clip causing me grief so I exported it as an AVI file. When I did, it stopped well before finishing but didn't throw any errors. I opened the AVI file and it was 40 seconds long, roughly, though it was corrupt and wouldn't really play aside from the audio. Low and behold, it was a warp stabilized clip at 39ish seconds that was causing me trouble. Hope this helps you if you're currently pulling your hair out as I have many times. Nathan W.
