(EE) Fatal server error: (EE) Failed to activate core devices.(EE) I did recall that the last thing I did before leaving yesterday was to fire up a rather large build queue. With that in mind I eagerly started going through the list to see if I had built something that would mess with the X Keyboard Extension (XKB). Fast forward twenty minutes and I eventually comprehended that my build queue had consumed 100% of available space under / For some reason I had again managed to ignore the obvious. After cleansing 25GB from /tmp, I could at last initialize an X session and get on with my day. However, if disk space is not an issue, I would recommend checking permissions on /tmp before doing anything else. Now please excuse me while I try to get PulseAudio working on my Slackware Current box. Say what now?
