Two Port Error Correction
correction in N9912AQuestion asked by theamberco on Mar 26, 2014Latest reply on Mar 28, 2014 by error correction term interpretation am95405 Like • Show 0 Likes0 Comment • 1I have an N9912A, so is a T/R set so I cant do 12 term error correction. But if I positive error correction term can do this: 1 Fwd Directivity 2 Fwd Source Match 3 Fwd Reflection Tracking 4 Fwd Load Match 5 Fwd Transmission Tracking 6 Fwd Isolation then since I am only transmitting in one port I can get S11 and S21 my measurements in those S parameters so in my calibration the one port systematic

erros will be corrected. If I turn arround the DUT so I can do S22 and S12 the same way. So does this mean my calibration would be like 12 errors corrected. S11 mag and phase S21 mag For S11, your best option is 1-port OSL. For S21, you have normalization or response cal. You can reduce mismatch errors by padding the two ports. The second step is measuring the DUT and applying the error correction algorithms to obtain a corrected result. Correction of systematic errors of S-parameter measurements in VNAs has been available for decades; the details of how the systematic errors affect the measurement results of a two-port S-parameter measurement are presented. In general, there are two distinct calibration methodologies based on either the 12-term error model, or the eight-term error model. The effects of the real-world conditions are discussed in this chapter. Some of the errors are random errors, such as noise, stability and connector repeatability, which must be treated in a statistical manner.Controlled Vocabulary Termserror correction codes; network analysers; S-parameters Get PDF : This Chapter (1988K)All Chapters More content like this Find more content: like this article Find more content written by:Joel P.
