Windows Communication Foundation, Serialization, and Networking Question 0 Sign in client found response content type of 'multipart/related; type="application/xop+xml" to vote HelloI get this error when using a generated Wcf proxy to pull a large file using mtom. all the mtom settings are ok (I can push files etc and they get recieved) but my question is (1) What is precisely the problem here and (2) do i have to do some hooking/filtering into the wcf and how/what do i need to do? thanks for any (useful) replies/pointers!
I am attempting to connect a WCF-BasicHttp port to a unix/java based web service which is MTOM enabled. The send message is processed by the external system correctly, but the response https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/73039d75-e078-436b-a8ab-d8c7197a976b/error-creating-a-reader-for-the-mtom-message?forum=wcf message is causing the following error to be thrown: The adapter failed to transmit message going to send port "WcfSendPort..." with URL "...". It will be retransmitted after the retry interval specified for this Send http://www.yqcomputer.com/15_829af2e8b636ed22_1.htm Port. Details:"Error creating a reader for the MTOM message". This error is so vague, I do not know where to start. Has anyone ever seen this error, and what was the problem/solution Here is the binding file, but I have chaged the message encoding to "mtom": < xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" > & Derivatives Electrical Engineering Algebra & Geometry Math Homework Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering Statistics & Data Analysis Chemical Engineering Puzzles & Games Physics Windchill CAD Integration Customization FlexPLM Integrity Arbortext Servigistics PTC Academic Program Schools Program University Program FIRST Robotics Real World Design https://www.ptcusercommunity.com/thread/59859 Challenge Academic Support LiveWorx 2016 Browse Content Communities Groups People All Places > Integrity > Discussions Please enter a title. This was generated when trying to call Integrity_2009Client.fetchAttachments(fa) "Error creating a reader for the MTOM message” - "Root MIME part must contain a non-zero length value for ‘charset' parameter in Content-Type header.” There appears to be a bug with the JBoss Server that we (Integrity) are using. This is from the JBoss community website: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBWS-2903 You might also find these links somewhat useful:http://blogs.msdn.com/b/distributedservices/archive/2010/01/06/manipulate-a-wcf-request-response-using-a-custom-encoder.aspxhttp://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa738574.aspxPlease contact PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager Support to add yourself to the Defect Request For Change 830440.I hope that helps.Regards,K
