The maximum size you can render in a single pass is limited by the system configuration. Figure 1 - Error that may occur when rendering large files. Solution: The best workaround at this time is to render the image in sections using the blowup function and then piece them together using your photo editing software. The following steps will walk you through making a 12000 x 9000 image. Launch 3ds max and open the scene you wish to render. Click on the Render Scene, , button to bring up the Render Scene dialog. Set the render size to œ your desired image size. For our example image, the image size is set to œ of 12000 x 9000 or 6000 x 4500 pixels. Also, set the path and name of the first quarter of the image to topleft.jpg (You can use any file format you choose so long as you do not exceed it's limits.) Ma

I error creating am making a script that includes a simple baking function, but so far I just get error messages when I'm trying to render a baked texture. Is there anyone here who has experience in this and can help me find out what I'm doing wrong? Here's a snippet of code demonstrating what error creating the I'm trying to do: Sphere radius:25 smooth:on segs:32 mapCoords:on pos:[0,0,0] isSelected:on macros.run "Modifier Stack" "Convert_to_Poly" bakeDiff = DiffuseMap() bakeDiff.outputSzX = bakeDiff.outputSzY = 512 bakeDiff.fileType = "tga" bakeDiff.fileName = "C:\\test.tga" $.addBakeElement bakeDiff $.bakeEnabled = on $.flags = 1 $.bakeChannel = 1 $.nDilations = 2 bakeBitMap = bitmap 512 512 render rendertype:#bakeSelected outputSize:[512,512] on:bakeBitmap vfb:on undisplay bakeBitMap If you put this into the listener, you will see that it renders the bitmap OK - but when it's time to save - the message "Error creating bitmap" appears. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the render part (it's rendering after all, and I can save the resulting bitmap manually), so I guess there's something wrong in the way I create the bake elements. The max5 maxscript manual is a bit lacking in this, so I would really appreciate any input!! Thanks, Rune Maven09-16-2004, 02:03 PMI have this problem too. I'm not writing a

Have you define the place in the harddisk where you are saving the render. When the render starts then close the rendering image window, so you can save little memory and faster render. Please try this and then post the feedback marco Senior Guru Posts: 554Joined: Sat Jun 24, 2006 Gender: Male Top by bustedgame » 29 Sep 2008, 11:53 88MaTo88 have your problem solved or not??
