use another MKV extractor it crashes. And when I use this, it says when I first fire it up"mkvextract.exe and/or mkvmerge.exe file not found in the same MKVextractGUI folder. Copy them into this folder and try again"And I blissfully ignore that because I simply dunno what it means, and then opens my GITS Movie 1 1080p H.264 DTS ES6.1 footage and when I try to open it says:"error creating error creating or communicating with child process Chilg processCreateChildProcess(ExeName, CommandLine, FChildStdoutWr)"And nothing more happens. Please leave a rather detailed guideline, I have gone out of ideas for what to do.-Ryko Top mirkosp The Absolute Mudman Joined: Mon Apr 24, 2006 6:24 am Status: (」・ワ・)」(⊃・ワ・)⊃ Location: Gallarate (VA), Italy Contact: Contact mirkosp Facebook Skype Twitter Org Profile Re: error using MKV Extract GUI Postby mirkosp » Sun Dec 28, 2008 6:09 pm Vdub and Avidemux might be crashing since it's a rather big resolution. Now onto mkvextract...The issue, there, is that your mkvextractgui.exe file must be in the same installation folder where you have the mkvtoolnix (prolly "C:\Program Files\MKVtoolnix"). Otherwise, it won't work. Anyway, the video conversion is easy for me, so what i did was make a directory called "Video Converter", and inside that directory is a shell script that will simply grab the video that she drops into the folder, and convert it. To start this script, i put a launcher on the task bar, that way, all this girl has to do, is drop a video into the folder, and click the launcher, and within an hour (depending on video size) she will have an H264-AAC version of her video. Well, the problem is that when creating the launcher, i used the following as the command that it will execute: Code: gnome-terminal -x '/bin/sh "/DataStorage/Video Converter/Converter.sh"' But when i click on the launcher, the gnome-terminal opens, and i get this error: "There was an error creating the child process for this terminal". So i changed the launhcer's command to: Code: /bin/sh "/DataStorage/Video Converter/Converter.sh" and it works just fine, but there obviously is no terminal open, so it's running in the background. This is fine, for the most

"There was a problem playing this item" (DISK SPACE & TEMP TRANSCODE FOLDER FIXES DON'T WORK) Murrayhill Posts: 8Members, Plex Pass Plex Pass August 5 edited August 5 in OS X (Mac) DISCLAIMER: I'VE ALREADY TRIED MAKING SPACE ON MY HARD DRIVE FOR THE MEDIA & CREATED A TEMP TRANSCODE FOLDER. Hello everyone c: I've run into a issue regarding playing a certain mkv file. When I play the media on my computer it works fine in VLC then when I go to play it on plex I just get the message "There was a problem playing this item" which is annoying, because I have watched this movie on plex before and never touched it since I last watched it, now there is a issue with it being played. I have already googled the issue and tried all the fixes that people suggest like running out of disk space & creating a temp transcode folder, I have restarted the computer it's on plus the server, I have moved the movie to a different drive just to see. I've attached the logs that come up whenever I try and watch the movie. The only errors I can see in this log file is that it's saying that direct play is disabled and that no direct play video profile exists for http/nkv/h264 Plex Logs.txt 16.8K 0 Best Answer sa2000 Posts: 24,946Members, Plex Pass, Plex Ninja, Plex Team Member Plex Team Member August 9 edited August 9 Answer ✓ Thanks for sending me all the logs and the sample 10-second mkv file. I was unable to reproduce the problem on Linux or Windows. However, it has been reproduced on OSX with errors similar to what you got on Plex Media Server 1.0.3.2461 Aug 08, 2016 15:21:27.360 [0x700000fee000] DEBUG - [TranscodeOutputStream]
