Click Start then Run or press Windows and R keys.2. Type DXDIAG in the Run window and press Enter key.WINDOWS VISTA/WINDOWS 71. Click Windows Start button or press Windows and R keys.2. Type DXDIAG in the Search bar (bottom left) or in Run window and press Enter key.System tab: Windows version, processor model and the amount of RAM memory. Display tab: name of the graphics controller and the driver date. Audio tab: name of the audio controller and the driver date. along with updates to Direct X. 2. Registered/Installed lastest Laucher updates. 3. Upon startup, rcvd an "Error creating effect PropDisk" msg. 4. Upgraded graphics card... Installed a NVIDIA 8400 and tried error creating again... 5. Now recieing "Generic Application Error" msg during startup. Please install video driver provided by the hardware manufacturer. Direct3D functionality not available. You should verify that the driver is a final version from the hardware manufacturer." You apparently do not have the Nvidia driver installed yet. Or you have two display devices on your system ( one may be an on board video adapter?? ) and the other one does not have an installed driver.
