Some I can delete fine, others delete but when I hit save I receive the following error: OGR error creating geometry for feature Using QGIS version 2.14.0-Essen in Win10 64 bit. Any ideas? I've converted it to multipoint then back to single point with no change. ogr error share|improve this question asked May 25 at 21:25 Soma_rich 413 1 It would be nice if you can capture one such feature and copy it alone into a new layer which you could save and put available for downloading. Or simply add the geometry into your question as WKT. –user30184 May 26 at 6:02 I managed to get around the issue with a feature query hiding the nodes I wanted to delete. This is the layer I am working on.data.linz.govt.nz/layer/221-nz-railway-centrelines-topo-1500k I am trying to delete all railways other than the 'North Island Main Trunk'. It's annoying me as now I have a layer with far more data in it than I need. –Soma_rich May 26 at 21:19 add a comment| active oldest votes Know someone who can answer? The XML being loaded could not be parsed.Discussion created by chrischan_h on Oct 8, 2010Latest reply on Oct 8, 2010 by chrischan_h Like • Show 0 Likes0 Comment • 1Hello everybody,While I am trying to convert labels to annotations in http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/194990/ogr-error-creating-geometry-for-feature-when-deleting-nodes ArcGIS 10, I get the following error message: Error creating annotation feature class. The XML being loaded could not be parsed. The labeled shapes are stored in a File Geodatabase, we created the labels ourselves (all emf format). I succeeded to convert more than 4000 labels in one shape to annotations before (polygon feature https://geonet.esri.com/thread/14133 class). Now I get this error message with other shapes (point and line feature classes) with about 2000 labels. When I start the conversion, a window pops up with four steps of progress (setting up annotation, giving features to the label engine, labeling features, creating the annotation element). I allways get the error message while the first step is running (setting up annotation).Does anyone have an idea??OutcomesVisibility: GIS115 ViewsLast modified on Oct 8, 2010 5:44 AMTags:gisContent tagged with gisdesktopContent tagged with desktopThis content has been marked as final.
