Find the application descriptor (which is a file Flash Pro saves alongside your FLA file with a name like appName-app.xml) and rename it to something else. Then go back into Flash Pro and reset the icons and other settings. Possibly something is screwed up in the file. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Error 303 https://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/61004/how-to-add-167x167-icon-for-ipad-app for embedded icons in AIR apps If you are using the same icon file in your app.xml file in AIR and embedding it to set it dynamically at runtime (for example if you have several icons that you switch between) then you'll most likely get the following error: Error creating AIR file: YourApp-app.xml(94): error 303: Icon assets/icon.png is missing from the package. error creating The Copy non-embedded assets setting in compiler preferences doesn't help you here because you are embedding the icons in order to dynamically switch the application icon at runtime. The easiest workaround I found was to simply duplicate the icons I wanted to use in the app.xml file (e.g., if my dynamic icon was called icon.png, I simply made a copy called icon-static.png). Crude, yes. Effective, yes :) Comments This error has a lot of possible reasons. I error creating files got it once when the icon size was not right and once when the images where embeded. Just as you said, I created another copy for the icons. You can see more info on my version here : http://spy6.blogspot.com/2009/10/error-creating-air-file-303error-some.html by Spy6 on 2009-10-30 14:31:47 I bumped into same error 303 when leaved empty =image= tag within =icon= block. One error message - two different causes. by Rodion Bykov on 2009-09-30 23:55:36 One other reason on Windows machines is that the path to your icons in yourapp-app.xml file does not match *exactly* the path of your files. In my case, I had a asset/Icons/appLogo-128.png in the xml file and on my system, the file was located under assets/icons/appLogo-128.png - notice the uppercase I in the xml file and lowercase i of i the icon directory. That makes this very strange since on Windows, the path is not case sensitive... by Breizo on 2011-01-02 04:55:43 Hi Aral, I'm having the same problem, but can't seem to fix it. Think I'm probably just doing something wrong. Tried copying and renaming the icon files. Then updated the app.xml to reflect the new names. But the compiler keeps telling me that it can't find them. Unanswered How to add 167x167 icon for iPad app? GerryRempel Gerry RempelCAMember ✭ February 16 in iOS Building an iPad app with Xamarin Studio on a mac. Just this week I have begun to get an error: "Missing required icon file, the bundle does not contain an app icon of exactly 167x167 pixels in png format. The problem is that my app does contain this icon, but the App store does not see it. Xamarin studio has slots for 4 icons, but it does not include one for this size. How do I add this icon to my bundle so that I can publish my app. My xamarin subscription is worthless if I can't publish apps. Thanks, Gerry Tagged: ios xamarin studio 0 Best Answers BrendanZagaeski Brendan Zagaeski USForum Administrator, Xamarin Team Xamurai February 16 Answer ✓ That appears to be Bug 37945. In theory 2 possible workarounds are: (a) Rename the 167x167 icon file to Icon-83.5@2x.png, place it in the Resources folder, and make sure it has a build action of "BundleResource". or (b) Switch to using an asset catalog for the application icons. The asset catalog editor includes the 167x167 icon size. 7 BrendanZagaeski Brendan Zagaeski USForum Administrator, Xamarin Team Xamurai February 16 Answer ✓ As long as the Info.plist entry that you added by hand matches up with the file name (Icon-167.png), you should be all set. With the exception of the App Store icon—which must be named iTunesArtwork—you can name your icons anything you want.
