Or is it for viewing on a Windows pc? Anyway, try this: publish settings --> formats --> windows projector (.exe) --> click the folder icon and browse to the desktop and try saving it there. Before upgrading my OS last year I could make swf files as well as IBM projectors (exe) and https://forums.adobe.com/thread/556964 Mac projectors from my large Flash docs. However, in OS 10.6 I get an error message when trying to create IBM projectors (exe): "Error creating Flash projector file. Be sure that Flash is installed correctly and the the destination file is not locked or on a locked drive.' It appears that it is making a Mac Projector doc but when it appears in the folder but it cannot be opened (error message).Since the new Flash Player is finally out and my large swf finally play well, I wonder if Adobe has a problem embedding the flash player in the IBM and the Mac projectors. Any ideas out there? I have the same question Show 0 Likes(0) 255Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 0 replies Actions More Like This Retrieving data ... "Error creating Flash projector file..." I've had no problems creating this projector in the past and now, all of a sudden, I'm either getting this message: "Error creating Flash projector file. Be sure Flach was installed correctly and error creating flash that the destination file is not locked or on a locked drive." Or, I get the file to write, but when I run the projector, it comes up as a tiny little window with a black background! Flash was installed from the installer & I even got the update from Macromedia for my Mac. The only thing that is different this time is one scene that I added. Yes, I tried to write it w/ the scene removed but no luck. This is only happening with the Mac projector. Everything else writes fine. Please, somebody help me save my job!!! A million thanx in advance! Thank you:sad;:smile; orcharduk Guest January 11th,07:55 PM #2 Re: problems saving I also get the same error message. But this happens when I am publishing my movie from within Flash. I want to create a windows projector file but I get "Error creating Flash projector file. Be sure that Flash is installed and that the destination file is not locked or on a locked drive" What the Heck?? It creates the swf and html just fine but not the .exe. I checked the permissions of all my folders, files, etc. and they are fine. I know it is not my fla file because I can publish it just fine on other machines. So how do I fix this? I am on a G5, Flash 8 Pro. Thanks so much. :) orcharduk wrote: > i am saving a flash doent, and then burning it to disk on my mac.
