Error Opening Registry For Reading (hklm Software Openvpn). Openvpn Is Probably Not Installed
I tried uninstalling 2.3.0, then installing 2.2.2, then uninstalling 2.2.2 and installing 2.3.0, but it still failed the same way. I've now installed 2.2.2 again. I should note that I successfully installed 2.3.0 on top of 2.2.2 on another box (which also runs 64-bit Windows 7), using the same custom path, although I'm only using the service there (i.e. no UI). comment:4 Changed 4 years ago by d12fk Run the GUI as Administrator once. It will be able to create the keys then. @mattock: the installer should create the GUI keys during installation. comment:5 Changed 4 years ago by djc You mean the actual Administrator? I was running it as a user with Admin privs. comment:6 Changed 4 years ago by d12fk Yes, the admin group alone won't do the trick as long as you have UAC enabled. comment:7 Changed 4 years ago by samuli This is somewhat related to ticket #249. I'll fix both in one go. comment:8 Changed 4 years ago by samuli Owner changed from mattock to samuli comment:9 Changed 4 years ago by samuli Fixing this is not str

The latest version of OpenVPN GUI can be downloaded here. Once this program is installed you https://dediseedbox.com/blog/openvpn-gui/ can proceed with the setup. In your seedbox download folder there will be a folder named OpenVPN like displayed in the image below. If this folder is not present in your download folder please contact support. If you open the OpenVPN folder in the filemanager there will be an OVPN file inside, like displayed in the image below. You need to download this file into the OpenVPN config folder on your local computer, the OVPN file will need to be place in the following location "C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\config" The OVPN file contains all of the connection settings so once this file is placed in to the OpenVPN config folder you can connect to the OpenVPN server. Start OpenVPN GUI and navigate to the icon in the bottom bar of your Windows screen and you will need to right click and choose the connect option. Intranet Services Using A Web Browser Using a workstation in the office via VNC Administrator's Questions For Users OpenVPN Client OpenVPN Client for Windows Download Uninstall the old OpenVPN-GUI 1.0.3 if it's already installed in %PROGRAMFILES%\OpenVPN\ (...bin\openvpn-gui-1.0.3.exe and ...driver\tap0901.sys) Go to openvpn.net/index.php/open-source/downloads.html and download the current most recent Windows installer. As of this writing that is version 2.3.4. This includes OpenVPN and the 'OpenVPN GUI for Windows' (originally from http://openvpn.se). The installer takes the form OpenVPN 2.3.4-I002. The Ixxx versions fix Windows-specific issues, such as issues with the software bundled only with the Windows version of OpenVPN; for example with 2.3.3-I001 that is: OpenVPN-GUI v5 (openvpn-gui.exe version 5.0.0.0 from openvpn-gui-5.tar.gz from sourceforge.net/projects/openvpn-gui/files/) TAP-Windows 9.9.2 (C:\Program Files\TAP-Windows\driver\tap0901.sys version 9.0.0.9 from tap-windows-9.9.2_3.exe from build.openvpn.net/downloads/releases/) Installation Whilst logged in as an administrator, install OpenVPN with the default installation options. Configuration Shortcuts are installed per-user so you may need to alter this, either putting them in All Users or giving each user a copy. We deal with amendments to shortcuts later.
