Error Creating Iso Joliet File Names
creating ISO or joliet file names Discussion in 'Nero discussion' started by conanlib, Aug 24, 2005. conanlib Guest Finallly did a reinstall of Win XP SP2. Installed Nero as always. It used to be bulletproof on my old install, now I'm getting "error while creating ISO or joliet file names" with almost every attempt to burn a directory of files to a data dvd. Any ideas will be gratefully accepted. I am very proficient on the computer, but this one is bugging me. It's probably something simple. I have used the settings recommended by Ahead and checked the directory names for illegal characters. I have not checked every file name, there are thousands. Any apps that will check a directory for bad file names? I discovered that there were a couple text files that had asian characters in the title. These would show as boxes when viewing from Explorer, but Nero doesn't show the title at all. In my case, surfing through the compilation list, (in Joliet view) the files in question showed as folders without names. Delete these items from your compilation and you should be able to burn. The files I had were readme.txt files provided by MSI for a motherboard, btw. Dngrsone, Sep 10, 2005 #2 conanlib Guest Funny thing - I downloaded Copy to DVD and it wrote all the files with no problems. Nero is obviously very picky! Oh well, added a new item to my bag of tricks. Thanks for the reply and have a good day! conanlib, Sep 10, 2005 #3 wtcwesley Member Joined: Sep 18, 2005 Messages: 2 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 11 Nero is a good CD/DVD mastering record program, actually when you add the asian language pack to it, you will find the problem is gone. wtcwesley, Sep 18, 2005 #4 conanlib Guest Yes, I agree that Nero is the best, and I had it working flawlessly on the same machine before the XP re-install. I am using Nero 7 Premium and all was well until the other day. I went to make a Data DVD like I have been doing for years on end but now I keep getting the message ERROR WHILE CREATING ISO or JOLIET FILE NAMES. I am making a backup of my music folders and never had any problems before. I've tried shortening the http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/error-while-creating-iso-or-joliet-file-names.382408/ folder name and deleted some longer name files but it doesn't make any difference, I still get the same error message. I have just removed and reinstalled the program to no avail. PLEASE HELP??Kindest RegardsMorny123 wither View Member Profile Jun 23 2011, 03:54 PM Post #2 Advanced Member Group: Members Posts: 21,667 Joined: 30-August 08 Member No.: 8,132,427 These type of questions are tough because you have been using the program and it's been http://forum.my.nero.com/index.php?showtopic=9928 working and all of a sudden it quits. It sounds like something corrupted Nero or a Windows file used by Nero.I assume you used the general clean tool to uninstall before you reinstalled. I also assume you have your serial number written down. Are you using v7.11.6? If not, I recommend that you download it. Run the general clean tool and then run cleanmgr.exe and reboot.Turn off your anti-virus and install v7.11.6, using your serial number during the installation. « Next Oldest · Nero Burning ROM · Next Newest » Forum Home Search Help Nero User Forum - English |-- Forum quickstart, announcements & rules |-- Nero Software in General |---- Nero updates & downloads |---- Support from a Nero expert |---- Nero software tutorials |---- Installation issues with Nero software |---- Product and Patent activation |---- Nero StartSmart |-- Nero Software Video |---- Regular posts & answers around create and edit videos |---- Nero Recode |---- Nero Vision |---- Nero ShowTime |---- Nero MediaHub |---- Nero Kwik Media |-- Nero Software Audio |---- Regular posts & questions around Audio |---- Nero SoundTrax |---- Nero WaveEditor |-- Nero Software: Data/Burning |---- Regular posts & questions around Rip and burn |---- Nero Burning ROM |---- Nero Express |---- Nero SecurDisc |---- Nero InCD |---- Nero CoverDesigner |---- Nero PhotoSnap |-- Nero Softwa

Problem mam dokładnie taki sam, jak twórcy tych threadów: http://forum.cdrinfo.pl/showthread.p...error+creating http://forum.cdrinfo.pl/showthread.p...error+creating Próbowałem już error creating iso chyba wszystkich możliwych kombinacji ustawień w zakładce "ISO", ale błąd dalej uniemożliwia mi nagranie płyty. Nagrywarka to LG GSA-4163B, system to Windows XP SP2. Co chcę nagrać? Wszystko - od dużych ilości jpgów przez tekstowce po RARy. W logu widać dokładnie to samo, co u jednego z ww. panów, więc nie będę go tu wklejał. #ads CDRinfo.pl Reklamowiec Data rejestracji: 29.12.2008 Lokalizacja: Sieć globalna Wiek: 31 Posty: 1227 09.08.2007, 10:11 #2 yahol Głupi Yasio Data rejestracji: 27.05.2003 Lokalizacja: **.# Posty: 4,450 Po mojemu standaed Joliet nie dopuszcza do zamieszczania takiej ilosci znakow.
