I also have my WM5 device doing the same for me. I keep coming across this error and would like to solve it as it is literally becoming a huge pain in the backside. The POP Log says the following: 11/27/06 21:32:14 POPS 596 xxx.xxx.xx.xx +OK+Welcome+to+MailEnable+POP3+Server 39 0 11/27/06 21:32:17 POPS 596 xxx.xxx.xx.xx USER USER+user@domain.com +OK 0 25 11/27/06 21:32:20 POPS 596 xxx.xxx.xx.xx PASS PASS+* -ERR+Unable+to+log+on.+Only+one+connection+to+a+mailbox+permitted+at+a+time. 0 15 Outlook 2k3 tells me this: Task 'user@domain.com - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in your account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts. The server responded: -ERR Unable to log on. Only one connection to a mailbox permitted at a time.' based on what we see here, how do I best get around this issue as it is kinda making life a little unbearable! Paul. Make sure that "allow concurrent mailbox access" is enabled in your POP service properties (advanced tab). 6.Debugging 7.Analysis 8.Use XCTU 9.Revised Test 10.Replication using a small test case 11.Analysis 12.See Also 1. Summary Calling gnu.io.CommPortIdentifier.getPortIdentifiers() after opening a port will produce a message https://chess.eecs.berkeley.edu/ptexternal/wiki/Main/RxTxErrorOpeningLockFile about locks: testRead() Lock file failed RXTX fhs_lock() Error: opening http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/528342/something-is-creating-locked-files-in-my-c-drive/ lock file: /var/lock/LCK..ttyUSB0: File exists. It is mine [$[Get Code]] What is happening is that the first time we call gnu.io.CommPortIdentifier.getPortIdentifiers(), everything is fine and we lock the first port. Then, the second time we call gnu.io.CommPortIdentifier.getPortIdentifiers(), the first port is locked. Basically, this message can be ignored. error creating A workaround would be to call gnu.io.CommPortIdentifier.getPortIdentifiers() only once. A better fix would be to have not print the lock message if we are enumerating through the ports because a port could be locked between the time we enumerate the ports and the time we actually try to open the port. 2. How to Repeat Under Ubuntu 14.04, running $PTII/bin/vergil $PTII/ptolemy/actor/lib/jjs/modules/serial/test/auto/SerialHelloWorld.xml error creating lock The error messages appear: testRead() Lock file failed RXTX fhs_lock() Error: opening lock file: /var/lock/LCK..ttyUSB0: File exists. It is mine 3. Does the lock file exist? Does /var/lock/LCK..ttyUSB0 exist before you run the model? If so then remove it. Also, it could be that the XCTU process is holding the lock. Also, it could be that the model is referring to the same port in both actors. 4. SourceCode Ptolemy is using nrjavaserial. To get the sources, use: git clone https://github.com/NeuronRobotics/nrjavaserial.git To find the file: cd nrjavaserial find . -type f | xargs grep "opening lock file" The results include: ./src/main/c/src/SerialImp.c: "RXTX fhs_lock() Error: opening lock file: s.", ./src/main/c/src/SerialImp.c: "RXTX uucp_lock() Error: opening lock file: s\n", ./src/main/c/src/SerialImp.c: "RXTX is_device_locked() Error: opening lock file: s\n", Thus src/main/c/src/SerialImp.c is the file and fhs_lock() is the function. int fhs_lock( const char *filename, int pid ) { /* * There is a zoo of lockdir possibilities * Its possible to check for stale processes with most of them. *
