install to a particular package either. In the IDE there is an install button in the Import Type Library dialog. How do I do this in the command line? When I look in at the OCX.cpp file generated by tlibimp in the CBuilder5\Imports folder, I see "Errors: Error creating palette bitmap of (TTVBH3D) : No Server registered for this CoClass". Does this have something to do with the problem? Edit: I want to be able to install components to the activex palette without going through the IDE so that the process can be automated during a build. Any solutions must be able to be fully automated. command-line c++builder share|improve this question edited Jun 25 '09 at 23:20 GEOCHET 16.4k156085 asked Jan 29 '09 at 15:13 Everett 63731638 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote According to the parameter options of tlibimp.exe, there is a -Ha+ parameter which will "Generate IDE component wrappers for controls". There is also a -Hr+ which generates the IDE registration for component wrappers. Does supplying any of these paramete

You have to manually add the created wrapper unit to a design-time package of your own and build and install that package to make the component wrappers appear on the tool palette. The "error creating palette bitmap" messages should cause the import to not build the wrapper unit, the components will just use the default icon in the component palette. -- Peter Below (TeamB) Don't be a vampire http://slash7.com/pages/vampires), use the newsgroup archives : http://www.tamaracka.com/search.htm http://groups.google.comReplies None In response to Import Type Library - Delphi 2007 posted by dale on Sat, 1 Mar 2008 Newsgroups.Archived.At is © Copyright 2009-2016, A B Cryer, All Rights Reserved.
this simple access to the style count of the text control fails. I have "brand new" TLB's. Tried imports to D6, D7, and D9. But I get the same result. It blows up on the lStyles.Count with "Parameter not Optional". var lStyles: IStyles; begin TXTextControl1.Styles.QueryInterface( IStyles, lStyles ); if assigned( lStyles ) then ShowMessage( IntToStr( lStyles.Count )); end; I also have issues setting style parameters. The set values to 0 are simply ignored. var lStyle: IStyle; lStyles: IStyles; begin TXTextControl1.Styles.QueryInterface( IStyles, lStyles ); lStyle := IStyle( lStyles.Item( 'P' )); lStyle.LineSpacing := 0; lStyle.LineSpacingT := 0; lStyle.Apply; end; Any suggestions? Adrian MeyerOctober 6, 2005, 04:22:53Delphi 9 reports the following errors when importing the ActiveX: // Error creating palette bitmap of (TTXStyle) : List index out of bounds (14) // Error creating palette bitmap of (TTXStyles) : List index out of bounds (16) // Error creating palette bitmap of (TTXXMLElement) : List index out of bounds (18) // Error creating palette bitmap of (TTXXMLElements) : List index out of bounds (20) // Error creating palette bitmap of (TTXLicenseManager) : List index out of bounds (22) Somehow the "dispid"s start a 0 and not 1. Example: Imported from D6, D7 or D9: IStyles = dispinterface ['{AB949ADA-EC97-11D9-9E2B-004005A9ABD2}'] property Count: Integer dispid 1; function Item(const StyleName: WideString): IDispatch; dispid 0; property _NewEnum: IUnknown readonly dispid -4; end; but should be: IStyles = dispinterface ['{AB949ADA-EC97-11D9-9E2B-004005A9ABD2}'] property Count: Integer dispid 2; function Item(const StyleName: WideString): IDispatch; dispid 1; property _NewEnum: IUnknown readonly dispid -4; end; I corrected the other 4 interfaces and now everything works. Unfortunately the original "Tx4oleLib_TLB.pas" installed with version 12 is incorrect as well. gmcOctober 6, 2005, 13:45:14Do you use the TypeLibrary which is distributed with TX Text Control?
