Libraries Question 5 Sign in to vote Not sure if this is where to put this question but I can't find anything else on these forums (shrug?). I'm trying to installthe2.0 redistribution packageand get an error with c:\windows\system32\advpack.dll when trying to install. Any suggestions? The reason I'm looking to install it is because I have an application that requires it. Maybe I actually need something different? Ugh. lol Thursday, October 20, 2005 6:24 AM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Since you are running the 32 bit OS, you will need the 32 bit .Net Framework redistributable. Please install fromhttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5&displaylang=enThanks,Robert Monday, December 05, 2005 7:00 PM Reply | Quote Moderator All replies 1 Sign in to vote Has anyone giving an answer for this question yet...I also have this problem..I'm trying to install the 64-bit version of Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. Firstly, make sure you have the correct version. Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit and does your setup file match? This solution seemed to work for a few people. - Click start, search for CMD, right-click and select "open as administrator" - Navigate to the folder you have the install file saved at by typing "CD" followed by the path. For example if it was on my http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/63939-63-getting-error-message-windows-system32-advpack desktop I would type: cd C:\Users\MyUsername\Desktop - Type the file name followed by /c. For example if the file was called setup you would type: setup.exe /c. It will ask you where to extract. - Create a temporary folder somewhere easy like the root of your C:/ drive and specify it. The installation package will be extracted there. - Open the folder you just created in explorer and right-click "install.exe" Run it as administrator Let the installation run and hopefully it works m 0 l Can't find your answer ?
