Error Creating Product Object Lotus

The LotusScript debugger reveals that the agent always fails on the line that declares the LCConnection, such as Set src = New LCConnection("db2"). This can also occur for Lotus Enterprise Integrator (LEI), and for Domino Enterprise Connector Services (DECS), that connect to a back-end database. Cause This error indicates that the files required to make the connection are missing or otherwise cannot be found or used. For example: -- If connecting from Microsoft Windows, the DB2 client on Windows is not installed. Alternately, if the path to the DB2 Connector files is not in the system's Path statement, then the connector cannot be found. -- If connecting from the iSeries, one or more of the following conditions may exist: The db2.srvpgm file on the iSeries is missing or unreadable. The iSeries db2 group PTF may not be up to date. The Relational Database Directory Entry table in the iSeries may not contain an entry for the target DB2 database. Check using the command WRKRDBDIRE. If you are creating an iSeries LC connection to a source that requires the data direct drivers (any ODBC connection such as SQL or Oracle), these drivers may not be correctly installed or the data source in the odbc.ini file may be incorrectly filled out. -- On AIX, the path statement may not be correctly filled out, and thus the connector cannot be found. The environment variables PATH, LIBPATH, and LD_LIBRARY_PATH must all contain the path to the connector. For example, to use the DB2 Connect Client, you would need something like this in each one: /home/db2clnt/sqllib/lib. There is also a DB2Instance environment variable on AIX that must be filled out. For example: DB2INSTANCE=db2clnt Note that your DB2 Instance may be named something different than db2clnt, that is provided as an example. -- You may have

a scheduled LotusScript Agent. If the agent was started manually it just works. The colleague who developed the agent was ill, so I had a little 911 work on a live system. I added a few print statements to the code but the agent started and stopped immediately without any statement in the console. My fault was that I didn't look a the very first rows of the Dim statements. The second row was ‘Dim ws as new NotesUIWorkspace'. Uh, my old friend, this will never work in a scheduled agent. I thought my work was done but the agent stopped again after 1000 documents of about 100.000 documents in the view. OK. I had a closer look. The agent looped through the documents by ‘view.GetNextDocument(document)'. In the loop a item of the current document was changed but this item was used as a view selection criteria. There again, my old friend, this will never work correct. So I changed the agent to loop through the documents by ‘view.GetNthDocument(index)' and increased the index variable in the loop. Now the agent runs fine and puts the attachments of notesdocuments in the IBM CommonStore for Lotus Notes archive. What a friday morning…
