There may be additional limitations in older versions! Hair and fur: some features may not be fully supported (for example hair material is taken automatically from base object) Bidir/VCM: many advanced/fake features error creating are not supported (image filters, blend material, enviro overrides, invisible to camera, …):Progressive render engine:The same scene, with the same materials render using Bidir/VCM render engine: Rounded corners feature will produce noise when used with highly glossy materials: Falloff map in Shadow/Light mode is not supported: Refractive materials inside Blend, Multi/Sub-Object, and Corona Layered error creating render materials may produce unexpected results:Single refractive material - correct result:[material setup]Two identical refractive materials mixed using blend material:[material setup] Distributed rendering is error-prone when bitmap paths are incorrectly set, and there are some bugs with very specific hardware/network setups. Always use the latest daily builds and DrServer.exe version as they may contain important bugfixes.See: How to use distributed rendering?Note: in post-1.2 versions of Corona, once an error is detected, an error messaging window should pop up and inform about possible solutions. "Lock sampling pattern" option does not work when using Corona's distributed rendering. Multi/Sub-Object material is currently not supported when nested inside Blend, Doublesided, and Top/Bottom materials Particle Motion Blur Map (Particle MBlur) is not supported. It may render incorrectly or cause crashes. Solution: use Corona's native motion blur with particles - it should not introduce significant speed penalties Geometry Motion Blur will not work for geometry with changing topology - this includes: changing number of faces, vertices, or norm

The script creates the 4 basic layers as shown in the picture below. The script also changes the render settings on each layer. I got the following error while trying to change the status of render elements for chrShadow and occ layers. # RuntimeError: # Error occurred during execution of MEL script file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2013/vray/scripts/vrayCreateRenderElementsTab.mel line 453: Object 'listAdded' not found. After creating each layer, the script changes the render settings accordingly.
