Error Creating Status Twitter Api
update_with_media API call. It is all working fine for me but one of my coworkers gets: Forbidden: The request is understood, but it has been refused. An accompanying error message will explain why. This code is used when requests are being denied due to update limits. -- Error creating status. He has not reached the daily limits and he was able to tweet a directly from Twitter. Can anyone help to solve this problem? Thanks a lot. AloisBelaska 2012-09-13 13:26:26 UTC #2 I'am having this problem too. episod 2012-09-13 14:34:40 UTC #3 Are you examining the HTTP headers around statuses/update_with_media when you get this response? There are account-based tweeting allowances as well as account-based media upload allowances. The media upload allowance is smaller than the tweet allowance. ReshNesh 2012-09-13 15:16:00 UTC #4 Hi, thanks for your response. I can't unfortunately easily examine the HTTP headers as I am using a library to deal with the API (Twython: https://github.com/ryanmcgrath/twython). However, I am aware of the allowances and I am certain that the daily upload limit is not reached as the Twitter account is mainly used for testing purposes. This fails consistently (rarely works to be precise). It seems to work more often for a different account though. On a slightly unrelated topic: we applied for Twitter Cards which should hopefully solve our problems as then we avoid having to deal with uploads (we can just tweet a link). This was last week. Do you have an idea how long it takes to have a Twitter Card application approved?
