I. Verify folder view options Click Start → My Computer. Click Tools from the top menu bar and then click Folder Options. Click the View tab and select the Show hidden files and folders option. Figure 1-2 II. Create a new Temp folder Click Start and then click My Computer. Double-click Local Disk (C:) and then double-click the WINDOWS folder. Verify that the folder named Temp exists. If the Temp folder is missing, create a new folder by right-clicking in the window and selecting New → Folder. Name the folder Temp. Update your ESETproduct by clicking Update from the main menu on the left and then click Update virus signature database. If the Temp folder is present, continue to section III below. III. Delete the contents of the Temp folder Left-click once on any file inside the Temp folder and press Ctrl + A on your keyboard. Right-click the selected files and click Delete. When prompted, click Yes to confirm the action. Update your ESETproduct by clicking Update from the main menu of the left and then click Update virus signature database.
