Other users can open the cube. Symptom The error the affected user gets in Cube Viewer when trying to open the cube is: english error: TM1 Error: CubeViewer (SystemParameterTypeInvalid): Error getting view properties german error: TM1 Fehler: CubeViewer (SystemParameterTypeInvalid): Fehler beim Abrufen der Ansichtseigenschaften In case it is possible for the affected user to expand and show the "Views" folder below the cube definition there might be a "Default" view, which returns the following error when selected by mouse-click: english error: TM1 Cannot find arrays of subset which define the view. german error: TM1 Kann keine Arrays des Subsets zur Definition der Ansicht finden. Cause A (user specific) view is corrupt. Something is wrong, but do not know why. Cube is small, 150k, it has 8 dimensions ( dim1 has 7 elements, Scenario has 12 elements, Company http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21424827 has 3 elements, Machine Group has 12 elements, Year has 10 elements, Period has 18 elements, Measure has 20 elements, Part has 10,000 elements). I have a view that has all dimensions and 20 Parts, it comes up no problem. If I try to show all Total All Parts, then the system will come up with message that says "Cube View Processing - Building Cube http://www.tm1forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=3359 View (Stop Building View)". This will take over 30 minutes and still not come up with view. If I pick "Stop Building View", it will have "TM1 Error : CubeViewer - :Error creating view array:". There are plenty of RAM, 60G, with 8G dedicated to tm1sd.exe and 24G available.I did try to reorder the cube dimension, using System suggested method. I have not used Stargate VMM and VMT yet. Something is fundamentally not well, can you give me a hand? Thanks. 1 year 4 months ago OFFLINE Hey team, We're seeing a "View Array Out of Date with Dimension" error pop up in a TM1 Contributor http://www.avianahub.com/forum/tm1-web/321-view-array-out-of-date-with-dimension-error Application. I'm not seeing a coinciding entry in the web log, which is odd. Has anyone seen this? TM1 10.1 The administrator has disabled public write access. View Array out of Date http://stackoverflow.com/questions/24479700/expected-declaration-error-creating-array-in-viewcontroller-cant-work-out-why with Dimension Error 1 year 4 months ago OFFLINE Nope. Are you using a named subset for the view? www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21457859 Cause Dimension has been modified. Resolving the problem This error is to be error creating expected. When a user requests a view, the view gets created and is valid with respect to the dimensions as they exist at the time. If another user comes along and modifies the dimensions involved in the view (either manually or via a process), then the view is invalidated as the data in the view may no longer make sense. The data may refer to error creating view elements that no longer exist or may include consolidations whose children have changed. The server can't really reconstruct the array automatically, because this would throw off the client's accounting for the view array as they understand it at the time. Nothing's broken; the view just needs to be refreshed via recalculating. The administrator has disabled public write access. View Array out of Date with Dimension Error 1 year 4 months ago OFFLINE You hit the nail on the head...the problem is that we are using a named subset, but SOP for users is to open the subset editor, expand all, and go from there. We're running a process to update the rows dimension (adding in placeholders) on an hourly cadence). When users have no subset selected, they get the error after the process runs. The problem is, if they have "green" data, it's lost when the error pops up. I think we'll have to change the cadence of that process to run only a couple times a day. Thanks for your help! Second, I do have programming experience (basic, VB, script languages) ,but it doesnt include any serious OO programming, and I am totally new to IOS programming. Going straight into Swift. In advance, thanks to those who can help. I have been struggling over this a few days now. Having trouble building a simple UIImage array. (I've stripped out all other code for simplicity.) I'm trying to understand why declaring an UIImage array and loading images works within viewDidLoad(), but not at the "base" of ViewController, which is where I seem to need it for other things to work. (I've noticed it seems to be tied into the fact that this is an array declaration, which futhers my confusion. I can declare and assign simple UIImage variables in either location.) Here's my code: // ViewController.swift import UIKit class ViewController: UIViewController { override func viewDidLoad() { super.viewDidLoad() // Do any additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib. } override func didReceiveMemoryWarning() { super.didReceiveMemoryWarning() // Dispose of any resources that can be recreated. } var icon
