Reason The current user and/or admin group does not have write permissions for the "ScriptingAdditions" folder or one or more of it's parent folders. Solution Try the following troubleshooting steps in the order provided. If the first solution doesn't resolve your issue, perform the next error creating and try again, and so forth. 1. Enable read/write permissions for the current user In the Finder, navigate to the "ScriptingAdditions" folder in the "Library" folder at the root of your startup disk Select the folder and choose File > Get Info Click on the padlock icon at the bottom of the Sharing & Permissions portion of the ScriptingAdditions Info window Authenticate with a local administrator account information Select the Privilege option next to error creating view your user account and set it to Read & Write Close the Info window Run the installer again. 2. Install the Adobe Creative Suite 4 from within a new user account. Occasionally, a user account can become corrupted and prevent the installer from accessing or creating the necessary files and folders.
