a big problem. We are in the process of writing a new application toreplace our current product that was produced in Delphi 4 with CrystalReports 7.On a lot of machines we are getting the error below with the current system.Error:534 Error detected by database DLL. Execute .We managed to http://borland.public.delphi.reporting-charting.narkive.com/lRmVUd4v/cystal-reports-534-error-error-534-error-detected-by-database-dll-execute-pestartprintjob trace this error to be caused by the MSPDE40.dll file that isinstalled by Windows Service http://crm.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/saleslogix-l/crystal-reports-error-534-592922 Packs being incompatible with our release ofCrystal. The file that is compatible is dated 03/06/1999. For the past fewyears we have got around this error by producing a batch file that the userruns, which deletes cached copies of the new version of this file, and thenreplaces the main file with the older version. However, this approach does not work well anymore because error detected sometimes Windowspicks this up as potential virus activity. Also, many of our users are notlikely to have administration rights on their machines for much longer andso will not be able to run this.Does anyone know how to resolve this? We are considering upgrading to alater version of Crystal but really would like to avoid this if possible asthe replacement system is due for beta release over the next few months andit would take us a long time error detected by to update the software to a later version ofCrystal. When provided with the compatible version of this file, our software worksperfectly, but the Windows Update changes that have recently been made arecausing us more grief because now Windows appears to constantly search forold DLL files and upon finding any, it replaces them!A rapid response would be appreciated!CheersPaul Brion L. Crystal Reports Error 534 MJW asked Nov 16, 2004 | Replies (6) Hi I have SalesLogix 5.2.5 running on Citrix Server. I have just released two report to all users. Some (but not all) are experiencing the following error with only one of the reports: Error 534: Error Detected by Database DLL Execute On the same Citrix Session, I can log into SLX as two different users, for one it will work fine and for the other not. All other reports on the system run fine and the CRPE32.dll is the right version. Any ideas? Join this group 6Replies Best Answer 0 Mark this
