The Eclipse plugin should then generate a new certificate when you next try to build a debug package. You may need to clean and then build to generate the certificate. share|improve this answer edited Jan 5 '12 at 16:07 Elenasys 57.3k11164145 answered Feb 3 '10 at 23:50 Christopher Orr 77.1k14138155 12 On Windows I had to delete the debug.keystore and make some changes to get a new compile going. I created a new test project, and the new debug.keystore was generated. –Tomas Jun 8 '10 at 13:37 115 It will also be re-generated for the current project if you 'clean' the project (go to Project -> Clean...) –adamnfish Jul 24 '10 at 17:50 19 @adamnfish: it didn't

I tried with http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2194808/debug-certificate-expired-error-in-eclipse-android-plugins command lines like : rmdir /S .android, and it didn't work. I'm on a mac. java android certificate share|improve this question asked Mar 20 '12 at 22:27 Tsunaze 63222566 a .directory is always "invisible" thats the purpose of that . - you can still go (cd .android) there or rm -rf ".android" (no idea if that works on a mac - it should on linux) –zapl Mar 20 '12 at 22:36 that's what i just did, thanks –Tsunaze Mar 20 http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9795963/error-generating-final-archive-debug-certificate-expired-on '12 at 22:37 removing debug.keystore worked for me. It is probably in the C:/ –Shashank Agarwal Oct 12 '12 at 19:04 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 14 down vote Remove debug.keystore from your user Android directory. share|improve this answer edited Jul 30 '12 at 7:32 bluish 9,4041269126 answered Jul 30 '12 at 1:48 munir 14112 This fixed it for me. Thx –lumpidu Nov 18 '12 at 16:53 1 Well this will work , but where is debug.keystore ? Windows -> Preferences Select Android -> Build Check for "Default debug keystore: " –Vins Mar 22 '13 at 9:36 It works for me thanks. –Ariel Magbanua Sep 23 '13 at 16:13 add a comment| up vote 6 down vote accepted It's okay i found it : On the OSX platform, if you manually remove the ~/.android directory using rm -rf ~/.android, then try to run the emulator, it crashes. This happens because the emulator fails to create a new .android directory before attempting to create the child SDK1.0 directory. To work around this issue, manually create a new .android directory using mkdir ~/.android, then run the emulator. The emulator creates the SDK1.0 directory and starts normally. And i had to recreate some AVD, that's all. share|improve this answer answered Mar 20 '12 at 22:36 Tsunaze 63222566 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sig
