One possible cause of this error is specifying a path to the IDL file that is longer than 126 characters. Oleaut32.dll does not support path names longer than 126 characters. I am using the VS2010. The original project was created under VC++ 6.0. I have error generating type a nearly imposable task of migrating the classic asp app that currently runs under Win 2K (yes!) to the 64 bit Server 2008. I have all com sources and converted some to VS2010 already. But when I try to compile, I get 1>midl\oleaut32.dll : error MIDL2020: error generating type library : SaveAllChanges Failed : .\.\NSCollectionObject.tlb (0x80070005) Since I did not create those originally, I am not quite sure where the .\.\ part of output comes from and how to fix it. Any ideas how to fix this would be most welcome. Thank you. ‹ Previous Thread|Next Thread › This site is managed for Microsoft by Neudesic, LLC. | © 2016 Microsoft. All rights reserved.
