Note the website URL. After completing the fix below, go back to that website in order to check that this is no longer a problem. Go to - Internet Explorer: Tools: Manage Add-ons. Click on Shockwave Flash Object (Adobe Systems Incorporated) Click the Disable Button Click OK Restart Internet Explorer, go to the copied URL and see if this fixed the problem. This seems to have happened to many people, as in this thread at Google Groups. The common causes seem to be: 1) Adobe Shockwave (disable the add-on) 2) Google Desktop Search (uninstall it) 3) a conflict with Lotus Notes (???) If it's not one of those for you, try Start > All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
