So we thought we would write a quick article that will explain exactly what the most common Kodi Error Messages are and what they mean. PlayBack Failed - One or more items failed to play. Check the log for more information. This is by far the most common Kodi Error Message that we get questions about. To explain this one we have to get a little deeper into what check error message Kodi was originally designed for. When the developers at team kodi designed the program, it was designed to play media from a variety of local sources (Hard drives, NAS Servers, Local Network Computers.) So if you tried to access a file on a local server and it would not play, this error message would tell you to check the log file. A log file is a file that keeps track of each action the program does and marks any errors that it encountered. Checking the log file would help an advanced user diagnose the connection problem and fix it. But team kodi does not support the 3rd party addons that most people use Kodi for. So they felt no reason to change this error message. When using a 3rd Party addon to connect to links from servers all over the world, this message simply means that the file you were trying to stream from the link you clicked on is not there and cannot be played. That's it. Nothing complicated. It is the same idea as a 404 error while browsing the internet. It just means that there is nothing at the link you connected to. If you were to actual look at the log file, you would see something similar to "Unable to resolve link, or connection timed out" If you see this Kodi Error Message while clicking on links within a 3rd party addon in Kodi, simply
