But it is better to fix errors ;) –Felix Kling Aug 19 '11 at 10:33 sometimes there is not possibility to use try...catch, for example if some external library throws errors. Using window.onerror event is the solution how to display error message in javascript with alert in this case, see my answer –Skip Aug 21 '11 at 12:05 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 11 down vote accepted To suppress all JavaScript errors there seems to be a window.onerror event. If it is replaced as early as possible(e.g. right after the head) by a function which returns true - there will be no error popups, which is quite useful after debugging is done.
... Error Logging is possible too, as explained here share|improve this answer answered Aug 20 '11 at 17:49 Skip 2,02722857 The HTMLDocumentEvents4::onerror event fires for run-time errors, but not for compilation errors. In addition, error dialog boxes raised by script debuggers are not suppressed by returning true. from MSDN –Bakudan Oct 14 '13 at 14:16 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote Can made a little script for suppress an error like "@" in PHP this is an example at = function( test ){ try{ if( typeof test === "function" )return test(); return test || null; }catch( e ){ return null; } }; share|improve this answer answered Jul 15 '15 at 12:24 Leonardo Ciaccio 30237 add a commhere for a quick overview of the site Help Center Detailed answers to any questions you might have Meta Discuss the workings and policies of this site

I am inserting data into an unfinished web application and I keep getting about 30 errors for every form I submit. It's driving me crazy. I'm using IE7. Please note that I already tried "Internet options - Advanced - Browsing", disabled http://stackoverflow.com/questions/503026/how-to-disable-javascript-error-messages script debugging for IE and other and unchecked the "display a notification for every script error". All I got was a different error message, but I still have to close a LOT of alert messages. I think I am going insane. EDIT: Before and after Image(url omitted to protect the innocents): I don't have access to the code, I am just inserting data, the application is still being built and the JavaScript is generated from codebehind. There is absolutely nothing I can do to remove this errors. javascript internet-explorer error-handling share|improve this question edited Jun 19 '15 at 20:20 Spooky 2,20771633 asked Feb 2 '09 at 12:21 Sergio 5,85672969 stop making them or correct them? what are the messages of those errors? –bchhun Feb 2 '09 at 12:24 Write error-free code, it’s a win-win situation! –Bombe Feb 2 '09 at 12:26 jQuery is a bad example of this. It has 25 try-catch-blocks. I'd say that it is a lazy programming practice. –Timo Nov 7 '15 at 21:06 add a comment| 5 Answers 5 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote accepted After some Googling it seems you m
