device (except the keyboard and mouse). If this resolves your problem, your computer was trying to boot from a non-bootable device. Fix boot options If there were no disks or drives connected the computer, make http://ccm.net/forum/affich-14233-diskette-drive-0-seek-failure-error-message sure the boot sequence is properly set in the computer's CMOS (BIOS) setup. How to enter the BIOS or CMOS setup. The floppy drive is likely one of them (probably the first on the list). Remove the floppy drive http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001500.htm from the boot up list or change the order, so the floppy drive is last. Instead of having the floppy drive as the first boot drive set your hard drive and CD or DVD drive as the first two boot devices. Once you have made those changes, save, and exit the setup (usually by pressing the F10 key). The Diskette drive 0 seek failure error message should no longer be seen when your computer starts up. Unfortunately, this is often an indication that the hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced. Additional information Computer hard drive buying tips.
