In Outlook, your User Name should be: alan@btinternet.com -- not just "alan".2. Try changing your SMTP port for that email account to 8889 instead of the standard 25. You'll want to also change your mail server back to mail.btinternet.com when you try this. You may not also be able to send mails, although you can receive them alright. In Outlook Express, you can change them in Accounts. Go to Tools > Accounts > Mail. Select the particular account that is giving you the error and click on Properties. Go to Servers and enter the correct SMTP servers. Solved Outlook Express Error code: 0x800ccc60 Posted on 2006-04-03 Outlook MS Applications 1 Verified Solution 5 Comments 13,403 Views Last Modified: 2012-06-27 I have a client that is trying to send email using Outlook Express. All configurations are correct, however when she tries to send email, Outlook Express gives the following error message: The SMTP server returned an error. Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '64.139.82.213 has too many connections (2) on sccrmhc12', Port 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800ccc60. I have looked this error message up all over, with no posted solution working. I have disbaled the Anti-Virus (AVG) from scanning emails, and Comcast was of no help. Does anyone know of a solution for this. Thanks in advance for any help. Josh 0 Question by:JFowlerjr Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 97 Best Solution bywar1 Greetings, JFowlerjr ! The error message said you have too many connections connecting with the same username. A family member connecting at the same time? Disable the other connection, and you should be able to send. If you are not connected with more than one connection, call and ask for a Tier 1 tech (a serpervisor type with more knowledge). Ask why your account show 2 connections when you are connected only one. Best wishes! 0 Message Author Comment by:JFowlerjr2006-04-04 Thanks for the quick response...although I am just reading it this morning. The sccrmhc12 is not always the same number...sometimes 11 or 10. I will call Comcast and talk to a Tier 1 Tech today. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again. 0 Message Author Comment
