So far, I've been able to just restart several times and it eventually powers on and works. I'm afraid it's going to eventually NOT power on and whenever possible I don't even cut my computer off. On one occasion, it went into a selftest routine, and the system board showed the following faults:- "DEV 086, ERR 22, and FRU 0010", no idea what that signifies....trackpoint again? Also, like my own machine, it just sort of siezes up when half way through the Memory test.I don't know what this signifies, but my own machine seems to work OK so I'm assuming it's not terminal! EDITSince found this, viewtopic.php?f=6&t=17011&view=previous which seems to say that this (the system board reported faults) is just underlining the "error 8611"that appears upon boot. Regarding the concluding post, I'm not sure what "worked great", so it's still a bit of an enigma Top Profile Reply with quote RealBlackStuff Post subject: Re: Thinkpad 600E with "error 8611"PostPosted: Sun Feb 27, 2011 8:08 am Offline RBS15000 Joined: Mon Sep 18, 2006 5:17 am Posts: 16384 Location: Mt. I tried to upgrade to Win 10 before putting anything on it and discovered that it failed (USB was corrupted during installation) I started the installation before I went to bed and woke up to a screen saying "Restoring your Windows back to previous version" Then after that it came up with a message "please insert your USB drive" this is when I figured my USB at some point stuffed up during the upgrade. I can get into the Insyde BIOS however. I now cannot boot into either OS and have tried to repair win, ran a few commands in DOS and keep getting a 0xc0000225 error or a process1_initialization_failed error. Is there a way to restore back to factory or recovery my old OS. at the moment this tablet is bricked with only a few hours usage. I can't install Win 8.1 or 10 because I don't have a product key. My only option is to start fresh unless someone knows a way to restore it? Any help would be great thanks…in advance. What do you do with the Android OS? I reflashed mine using that. It worked out okay, but of hit and miss. Just make sure you flash Android first as it partitions the whole tablet, even the Windows partiton. You need to make sure to that the bios is set to boot in Android when you flash it via intel MFG and later set the bios to boot to Windows when you boot to the USB stick you
