DESK AIX Subscribe You can track all active APARs for this component. APAR status Closed as unreproducible in next release. Error description SCENARIO: 1) Open TEST.CATProduct. The message that Part2 can not be found is shown. 2) Click ?DESK?. 3) Click ?Find? in the context menu of Part2. The following message is shown after _Part2.CATPart was selected. Part.CATPart is not accessible because of linked document localization. This is problem. . Expected result: CATIA should not give any error message & Part can be selectable. . Incident Diagnosis: When it is tried to find the CATPart from desk & load it then CATIA gives error message that part is not accessible because of linked document localization. . Reason: The problem is not reproducible on R19 SP05 & R20 GA level. On these levels the CATPart can be correctly found & loaded from desk. . Activate Tools > Options > Infrastructure > Product Infrastructure > Representation > 'Do not activate default shapes on open' 3. Open Product.CATProduct 4. Update the product. Result: an Update diagnosis message pops up. 5. Click on Edit on the Update diagnosis window Result: the Assembly Part Association definition opens. 6. Check and uncheck 'Display associated part in BOM' in order to activate the OK button 7. Correction Explanation: The problem has been corrected by improving the algorithm. Now when Check and uncheck 'Display associated part in BOM' in order to activate the OK button it does not give any error message. The problem can be in any other part of code with bad class casting or procesing after allocated array space or any other bug with peeing in memory where you can't pee... debug program allocates memory in different way than release so thats why those problems can occure even only in one case. Sorry for not helping. All I wanted to say is - consider checking other parts of code for bugs.
