You can see my post on this at slysoft forum http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=34153 to much to repost it all here but here is the last part for anyone who is having this problem Ok I fixed the problem. This is going to take time to explain. Fist I saw that the problem with Nero or Clonedvd was with the first part of the writing I assume that writing the boot info. I fixed the Nero illegal mode this trak by going to zone alarm antivirus scan targets and unchecking the scan boot section for all drives. This did not fix the writedvd 10 11 w2 error that happens right as it started the write in Clonedvd. To fix this I had to go to zone alarm antivirus advanced then exceptions and add the clonedvd.exe to the exceptions. Zone alarm has two select types for exceptions and they are trusted and on access. I had placed the whole Clonedvd folder in the exceptions list for on access and it did not fix the problem. I placed the clonedvd.exe in

Now all of a sudden no matter which software I use the dvd will burn to about the 5 track and then an error message pops up. It does not matter which burn software I use.We replaced the burner (memorex 16X dual format dual layer) last night and we still cannot burn completely. Can someone please help me. Jim 2 12/22/2005 (11:09 pm) by Whiskers Whiskers (1964 Posts) What software, what media type and brand, and what are the error messages? 3 12/23/2005 (1:38 am) by frank johnston frank johnston (3 Posts) Whiskers , Thanks for the response. I use CloveDVD2 and Nero. The media is Silver Matte 1x-8x Ritek. I was using these all along and the same software when this problem started. The error message says probably bad media "write DVD 10 11 W2" Not only have I been using this media on here, but I can turn around on my old computer and use the same media and it works fine, but it takes me 2-3 hours to copy because it is a very slow computer. Hope you have some ideas!!! 4 12/23/2005 (2:12 am) by Whiskers Whiskers (1964 Posts) Head over to the manufactors web site, and look for firmware downloads. These often fix compability problems with different brands of media. Make sure you have the exact model for the firmware you download. This may solve your issue, if you are still having problems, others have found that changing your IDE controller to the Generic Microsoft IDE controller fixes their issue. Generic Controller as Opposed to VIA,NFORCE, etc. 5 12/23/2005 (3:11 am) by frank johnston frank johnston (3 Posts) Thanks Whiskers, I will give that a try a
